We’re so glad you found Camp Sunshine. We know this may not be a journey you ever expected to take, but we want you to know that you’ve found a community that cares, welcomes, and is here to support your family every step of the way.
Whether your family is facing a new diagnosis or has been navigating pediatric cancer for some time, we know the road can feel overwhelming, isolating, and uncertain. For nearly 45 years, we have walked alongside families like yours. We have celebrated victories, offered support during difficult days, and witnessed the incredible strength, courage, and resilience children and families carry.
At Camp Sunshine, you are not alone.
Everything we do is centered on supporting your child and your family. Through year-round programs offered at no cost to families across Georgia, we create opportunities for children with cancer and their families to experience joy, friendship, adventure, and the simple moments of childhood that every child deserves.
Whether it’s an overnight camp staffed by volunteers and medical professionals from the AFLAC Cancer Center and Blood Disorders at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, activities and resources during hospital treatment, or family events at the Camp Sunshine House where you can connect with others who truly understand what you’re going through, our mission remains the same: to provide a place where your family can find support, encouragement, laughter, a sense of normalcy, and to be a ray of hope for children with cancer and their families.
Most importantly, we want you to know that you can choose when and how you participate based on what feels right for your family. This New Family Sign Up form simply gives us an opportunity to learn more about your family and keep you informed about Camp Sunshine programs and opportunities available to you and your child.
We would be honored to welcome you into the Camp Sunshine family and walk alongside you in the days ahead.
Sincerely in Sunshine,
Tenise Newberg
Executive Director
