Post Camp and Post Race Update…with everyone’s support, we exceeded our goal and raised over $384,000!!! Thank you to everyone who donated and to all our amazing Volunteers!

 

The Keencheefoonee Road Race is Camp Sunshine’s annual fundraiser driven by our volunteers! Begun by volunteers who were missing out on the Peachtree Road Race because they were at volunteering a week away from home at camp, the Keencheefoonee Road Race has grown into a robust fundraising event.

Over the past 18 years, the road race has raised over $3 million to send kids with cancer to summer camp.

The 5k run and 2k walk are held each Tuesday at summer camp, before breakfast; volunteer counselors run or walk down Keencheefoonee Road for a brisk start to their day! Prizes are awarded that morning for top fundraisers and race winners.

Anyone can participate in the fundraising, but unfortunately, because of safety and security concerns, the only participants who may run in the race are summer camp volunteers.
